Why Clarry?
I have a Clarry Pellet Stove Certified Roosevelt Model. It is outstanding, easy to use and economical to burn. I have an un-finished work shop 24’x26’ with a 10’ open beam ceiling and attic (over 7,000 cubic feet). The structure is not insulated. I use the shop daily, often for 16 hours straight. Starting in October through April the temperature varies from 50 to 10 degrees.
The stove keeps the shop warm so I can perform custom wood working (lathe turnings and customize pistol and rifle stocks). As a wood shop, the environment has a lot of dust and, there are fumes from finishes (stains, varnish, and lacquers). The pellet stove keeps the shop warm and safe. The sawdust and wood chips land on the stove but never ignite. They gradually turn to dust and clean up easily. It is simple to regulate the temperature to ensure even drying for wood finishes.
I start the stove and within 30 minutes the heat is flowing through the shop. Once the shop is warm, a 40 lb bag of pellets will last between 4 and 8 hours. Those cold days (below 35 degrees) take a bit more heat to keep the cold away. I generally burn between 1.25 to 1.5 tons of pellets a year. This is about $300 in my area. I’ve tried propane heaters, space heaters, IR heaters, electric heaters, and wood stoves. The heaters were expensive and not safe for working around the chemicals for finishes and, and with the noise you cannot have a conversation or hear yourself think.
Wood stoves make a mess and cause smog. In-house pellet stoves must be kept clean and the dust of a shop stops them from working. The Clarry Pellet Stove takes up little space, is quiet and the gravity feed system never fails. And, it is clean burning. It is perfect for my situation. Do not keep shopping. Just buy one now!
